I have known the folks at Media Minds for a while now. Great reputation in the cybersecurity community. They are well-known for an event called CyberTacos. When the released a podcast, it made sense for me to offer a review of the podcast titled “Inside the Media Minds.”
Listened to three of the podcasts titled “Inside Media Minds” a podcast from W2 Communications. One podcast was in studio, one had a call-in, one was done on a remote location. The quality was all over the map. In studio the audio level was acceptable, but Amy Morris’ interview was hard to listen to and the interview from RSA sounded like it was recorded in a bathtub.
Certainly looks like there has been some show preparation done before each episode. The questions seem to be thought-out and rehearsed. The host allows the guests to respond to questions.
One way to improve the podcast is to have a description on Apple Podcasts that talks about the purpose of the show. When people find Inside Media Minds on Apple Podcasts, nobody knows what to expect.
Many people want to scroll through an interview, adding a transcript will allow people searching for topics to find the Show Notes.
When the URL was run through Website Grader from HubSpot it was obvious that litle work had been done in the are of keyword pacement and links.
Images were sorely lacking in the show notes. Getting a publicity photo from Rob Pegoraro certainly is not difficult. Also, W2Communications would benefit from outbound links in the show notes section. These are simple issues that can be remedied with small changes in the Show Notes section.
Would love to know what you think of this podcast. Please leave a comment below.
