FedScoop is well known in the Washington DC area for a wide range of marketing activities – including events and written content. “Let’s talk about IT” is one of the audio offerings under the umbrella term “FedScoop Radio.”
The moderator is Billy Mitchell, he does introduce himself, he doesn’t say what company he is with. Perhaps something like “This is Billy Mitchell from Fed Scoop and this is the “Let’s talk about I-T” podcast” would help.
One of the guests on this episode is from Cloudera, and the podcast is sponsored by Cloudera. Is this editorial content?
Experienced moderators can handle two guests on the phone. I heard one guest “tossing” to the other guest during the interview. Without guidance, listeners can get confused.
If you click on the “website” link in the Apple Podcast page, you arrive at the generic show notes section from May 2019. That sponsor was Splunk. From there, navigation is tough. One is not able to scroll down to other episodes. Searching around the site will yield a “listen” section with a mix of podcasts, called FedScoop Radio where you can find a kind of show notes section.
Show notes exist as a vehicle for the moderator to connect to the audience. We have a few paragraphs describing the interview. No images, no logos, no call to action.
This podcast has a lot of potential if a few details are cleaned up.
